Mini-Quilts Honor AIDS Task Force’s 25 Years

To commemorate the AIDS Task Force’s 25th Anniversary, Artlink is hosting a Mini Quilt Exhibit in its Push Pin Gallery (formerly the Hallway Gallery) now through December 2.

Eighteen area artists created 22 mixed media mini quilts to honor and commemorate the Task Force. The artwork, no larger than 12”x12”, is priced to sell, most for under $100. Many of the artists have donated their portion of the sale price to the Task Force. Artlink, which usually receives 35% of all art sales, will donate half of their proceeds to the Task Force as well.

Included in the group of well-known artists who have created these unique and inspiring pieces of little art are: Jay Bastian, Linda Binek, Rebecca Good, Diane Groenert, Roger Hultquist, Tammy Maldeney (piece is shown above), Dan Swartz, Lina Zerkle and Terry Ratliff.

In partnership with the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, Artlink also hosted a cast/crew party on October 2 for the Civic Theatre’s Off Main Production of Quilt – A Musical Celebration, which runs through October 18.
